Query pointing to an XSD file doesnt accept empty schemas

I’ve got a Query pointing to an XSD file which doesn’t accept empty schemas. This is the issue that I’m getting when validating the query:

[Query:WMS_Rec]
No columns defined for target schema. (BODI-1111079)
