QaaWS with Xcelsius 5.0

Hello

I am using Xcelsius 5.0 with BO XI R2.

I want to use a QaaWS query in Xcelsius. I am able to create the connection fine in Xcelsius, but how should I be using it.
Under Components - Web Connectivity, I just see only 4 options, I do not see ‘Web service connector’

Am I missing something? Kindly advise, newbie to Xcelsius

I think you are using 2008 version.Xcelsius 5.0 is not there.

Note: Internally Xcelsius 2008 is refererred to as Xcelsius Rel 5.0 :wink:

hi quietnoise,

you can find Qaaws , Webservice connections under Data–> Connections(Ctrl+M).

But what I am trying to find is the ‘Web service connector’ Under Components - Web Connectivity, So that I could use the QaaWs I created under Data - Connections.

But I am not able to find that connections??? Am I missing something

Maybe you can try the “Connection Refresh button” in that same category of components? You can bind your qaaws connections to that object as well.

So is there no ‘Web service connector’ Under Components - Web Connectivity.

These are the steps I am following -

  1. Create the query in QaaWS
    2- In Xcelsius, under Connections, define a new connection using the Query
  2. Now I am not sure how to bring this data in the canvas. I think I have read online that I should be using a Web service connector’ Under Web Connectivity Components, but I dont see it in mine.
    All I see in mine is Web Connectivity Components are -
  3. URL Butoon
  4. Refresh button
  5. Reporting services button
  6. Slide show

Am i missing the “Web service connector” component or is there any other way of bringing the data into the canvas
