Purge Prompts check box disappeared XI3.1

Our new XI 3.1 WEBI had a good feature when purging data. There was a check box to purge the prompts as well. This check box has now disappeared off all reports when we do a purge. Have I done something wrong?

Are you after the “Keep last value(s) selected” prompt property? If you deselect it, you’re done.

Thanks Jansi,

When the “Keep last value(s) selected” prompt property is selected, the “Purge Last Selected Prompt Values” check box appears when you do a purge, and works properly. If the “Keep last value(s) selected” prompt property is deselected however, a purge does NOT purge the prompts (at least on our system), as evidenced by the UserResponse variables persisting on the cover page.

As our users never want the prompts populated by the last ones used, this causes a problem in that the cover page shows the last UserResponse for these prompts.

The workaround seems to be to check the “Keep last value(s) selected” of at least one parameter, purge the data, uncheck the “Keep last value(s) selected” and save.
