Publication for report with Prompts?

Hi All,

We have a requirement to create schedule for 1000 Customers and save the Output to shared Location, and the Webi report is having 5 prompts.

Is it possible to create a Publication to fulfill this requirement, or any other suggestions (sdk?).

Currently using 4.1 SP7

Yes, you could do this with a publication. I might do it by using a separate report to do the bursting. This report would include the fields needed to burst and name the report, along with the values for each of the parameters, if they’re different based on who is getting the report.

Thanks for the response Dell.

My report needs to be based on Customer ID and 4 other prompts(Dynamic) as well.

am able to create the Publication with Customer ID alone based on sections, But i need to consider the combination of all the 5 parameters(Including Customer ID)

If all customers use the same values for the other four prompts, you can just set them statically in the publication. Otherwise, you’ll need to be able to get their values into the report that you use for the dynamic recipients/bursting.
