Pros and Cons using Publishing Wizard versus Object Browse

Hello All,

At our place,

1.we deploy the Crystal reports to the BO XI R2 enterprise, by Adding “New Object” -> and browse the network and add the report.

2.We are contemplating to use the Publish Wizard to deploy the reports to the Enterprise.Does deploying the reports through Publish Wizard create a CUID?

Would there be any problems with method 1 versus method 2, in future, when we migrate servers?

Please advise.

Both options should work fine. The big difference between using InfoView to add the reports versus using Publishing Wizard is the speed. Adding files through InfoView is one at a time while Publishing Wizard allows you to add many at once.

Thanks! Will there be a CUID(or any other ID) association if used via the wizard?
