Prompts in live office

Hi Experts,

I have a Bex query that is imported in Webi with prompts from Bex. Now, I have the same imported in Live Office. The prompts which is in Bex are available in Web Intelligence but not available in Live Office.

Can anyone tell me how to bring them in Live Office. What settings I have to do.

Hi Kannon,
Bex Variables (prompts) are not supported in Live Office even with the latest version of BI 4.1.

To workaround:

  1. Use SAP exits to dynamically set your variables
  2. Bring all data through to the Webi and use Webi prompt to filter.

Of course, this will depend on how you are filtering. If you are using prompts on Calculated Key Figures, option 2 will not be suitable as the Webi prompt will filter the whole query.

Live office 4.1 going backward? It is really doesn’t make sense the BEx variable prompt does not support in Live Office 4.1!

BEx prompt was working fine in Live office 3.1, why can’t they make the same to 4.1??? really unacceptable…
