I have a report that a user wants to use weekly and input a large list of item #s to see the inventory. But the item numbers will be different every time. Is there no way to copy and paste from say excel and paste to the prompt? It is tedious putting a ‘;’ after each line.
I’m not sure if you’d consider this “easier” but here are the steps we go through when we have an Excel sheet with a list;
[list]Save the spreadsheet as a .csv (comma separated value) file
Open the .csv with Word or Notepad and do a Search/Replace of all “,” with “;”.
Copy the result and paste into your query’s InList prompt. [/list]
It’s pretty quick when you’ve done it a few times.
