Prompt condition

Hello,

One of my deski report has prompt condition called NAME

EXAMPLE: object name is “NAME” which has 50,000 names.

Some of the names are dummy and i don’t want to see when i click on prompt condition. I am just wondering how to select only the names i want to see in prompt condition. I guess, i am suppose to create a new object in universe which has selected names in it. or am i suppose to create a derived table only for this particular column.

some one might have came across this issue. Any suggestion please?

Thanks

I think you can associate a list of values associated to that dimension and you can select the values which you want to display and ignore the rest. While running the report you should select the values from ‘show selected only’.

Jansi,

Thanks for ur reply,

I restricted the names in the universe itself on object called NAME and it worked fine.

Thanks
