Process Immplementing LDAP\NT\Microsoft AD Authentication

Hi,
We need to Sync-up The BO login with Microsoft AD using Windows NT or LDAP Protocol . I am no vice in this and have no idea about how to do that.

Is there any Document or Questionnaire\checklist that I can go through before implementing this.
