I have installed the latest LiveOffice (BuildVersion=14.0.4.738) and MS Office 2010 Professional (32 bit).
When I try to start Excel, it says; “Excel experienced er serious problem with the ‘sap businessobjects live office XI 4.0’ addin” and asks me if I want to disable the addin. If I answer “No”, Excel closes down.
If I answer “Yes”, Excel starts, but I am not able to use the LO addin.
I’ve also tried to run the enable_addin.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\LiveOffice, but the same problem i still there.
Is there anyone that have succesfully installed LO 4.1 (or 4.0) with MS Office 2010? Please let me know!
Even though Excel 2010 is not officially supported by SAP with BO 4 with LO version 14.0.2.682. It appears to work okay with me. We are not at the version level you are at, so I am not sure if it will work.
I have now installed BO 4 with LO version 14.0.2.682, but I still cant run the LO addin in Excel.
If I run Excel as Administrator it seems that I can force it to run the addin, but I’m not sure if LO works 100% in that case.
No, I had Excel 2003 before we had BO 4 (we did have BOXI 3.1). I think they had to uninstall 2003 before they installed 2010. It seems pretty stable to me.
But Live Office can be a tricky beast. For one thing you have to make sure your BO and LO are the same version. We have had some other issues with a test server and in trying to resolve the issue, I uninstalled LO completely and re-installed it.
even im having this issue with office 2007 and our version of live office is 14.0.4.819
whenever i get this message i say yes and we dont see live office plugin. than i will right click on toolbar and select customize quick access toolbar. in that window we see manage option in bottom. select disabled plugins and enable live office and work with that.
