Problems Exporting Crystal report into XLS

Hai,
I need to export Crystal Report into Excel when i am doing that, there are many unwanted spaces being exported to Excel i mean the report is not looking the same as it looks like in PDF or Crystal Preview.
Can some one tell me what are the options that i must select in order to check before exporting, so that it apperes the same in any format.
Thanks in advance.

Excel 97-2000
Excel 97-2000(data only)…
i did the same and one of it worked.

Here are some additional tricks to having reports export cleanly to Excel:

  1. Use the regular Excel Export if you want “picture perfect” export - this export doesn’t require rules 2 and 3 below. Use the Data Only export if you need to be able to “slice and dice” the data - e.g., sorting, adding formulas, etc. - and follow the rules below.

  2. Make sure your column headers and the data under them is the same width and aligned on the left.

  3. The height of your column headers needs to be a single line of text. When you have some headers with one line of text and some with more than that, the column headers will appear over the wrong columns.

For example, this will export correctly:

Lender number Loan Posted Date

And this won’t:

Lender Loan Posted
Number Date
