We have installed Data Services 3.2 on Windows 2008 Server (Terminal Server). Currently we are not able to access with Data Services Designer any other folders in our Domain expect those local folders on that server. What kind of configurations we must do to access data laying in another server or computer? I tried to grant access to system account for a folder in another server and tried to use this folder (containing text file) as a data source in a data flow task (UNC path). But I got an error saying: “Cannot open file <///c$/temp/file.txt>. Please check its path and permissions”. What we should do?
Edit: I read from Reference manual
that:
“During execution, all files must be located on the Job Server machine that executes the job.”
Very odd? There is no possibility to read text files from external computer? E.g. MS SSIS can do this without any hassle and out of the box.
