Problem when execute report Conversion Tool on a client

Hi everyone,

When I use Report Conversion Tool on a client (not on Webi Server) I have an error (a red cross appears) before the conversion.
I believe that RCT can not open the document to migrate

All it’s OK when I use RCT since the Webi Server

Any help will be appreciated.

I have the same problem. Only a red cross apears.
I start the report conversion tool on a windows-client.
the cms is on a aix-server.
Do you find an solution ?

RCT is locally installed , and it should work fine. But the machine should be connected to the server.

Just now i tried and also i have used it many times.

The client connects to the webi server to access the Report Conversion tool. (it’s necessary to enter a login and the password ; I tried with Administrator Login (which is the login of the administrator of Business Objects) but I have the same problem
However when I connect to RCT directly on the the webi server all it’s Ok
The problem is when using RCT on a client (I have a client Windows XP)

Now it works!!!
the solution is to install the new version BO, ie version XI 3.1 (on both the server and client)
This version fixes many bugs such as the issue of restricting the right connection on the universe
