Hi vicky111

Can you tell more about the problem you’re facing ?

If you export a SWF to BOE, you shouldn’t have any problems with login. If your Xcelsius file is connected to a universe (for example), I think the credentials are kept from BOE to Xcelsius so you don’t have to log in again.

And if your SWF does not have any connexion, then you don’t have any problem

If your SWF is more complex, let us know.

hi thanks for your reply.
my problem is
i established a connection to webi report which is of type ( open doc report) from xcelsius by using the URL button in xcelsius.i did this by copying the open doc syntax to excel sheet and then used the URL component to map this link.then developed a basic swf file.
The prob is after this im unable to export this file to BOE.
i would like to have both webi report and swf file(which is developed from this webi report) in infoview.

thanks

OK, so if I understand, you don’t have any connexion. A URL button is not a connexion, it is just to open a document, for example to view it.

To export your SWF file, you just have to go to something like “file > export > export to BOE”. Then you will have your SWF saved in infoView.

About the WebI document, if you call it with opendoc, it means it is already in your infoView, so there is no problem, your link still works when you open your SWF files via infoView…

What I mean is that your 2 documents are not really linked. The link is done via URL (opendoc etc.) and if your WebI does not change, the link does not have to change neither.

What do you mean ? Do you have an error code ? Are you asked to log into BO ? Do you see your infoView folders ?

I can’t help you if I don’t know the problem…

hi thanks for your reply
file > export > export to BOE here itself its throwing error
BO login page itself is not coming.
do we have to do anything with the publishing folder.

But what error do you have ???

not sure what you meant by “login page is not coming”
when you export the swf from xcelsius …all you get to see is a pop up box to browse ur infoview folders & save your swf.

check if your BO Environment is up & running.
& like as titlola mentioned,
if its displays an error…give us the error code (or) the error message you get when you’re trying to export it.

I don’t know the answer for your second question. You should open a new topic for that one and just ask one question at a time.

I am waiting for your screenshots to see the error.

Edit : I just saw you opened a topic earlier on your other question. If you don’t have answer, try to ask your question differently but it is possible that no one has an answer…

Hi vicky

I think this is not an Xcelsius error. Plus, I don’t think it is a BOE error but I see you are using Windows authentication. Couldn’t it be the problem ?

When you connect to InfoView, do you use Windows authentication or Entreprise ? And does it work ? You need to use the same login/password/authentication.

I don’t know the error so maybe it is something else, but have a look at this and let us know what you find out.

Edit : when I export and choose “Windows AD” I have the same error. But I don’t have problem to connect to BOE InfoView. So if you manage to connect to InfoView, then you should use same login/password/authentication.

Well then, I can’t help you more, I don’t use Windows AD.

Try to have a look to this topic, it may help :
