Pre-migration checklist between hosting systems

We are planning a migration from a hosted BO provider to either another hosted BO environment or an internal one. What are some of the items we should consider prior to the migration? I am thinking of the following:

  • Document and reapply Tomcat settings
  • Document and reapply BO server settings (is there a quick way to do this)
  • There are no customized logos/banners/etc, so we should not have to worry about this
  • Using the BIAR file to capture all the content
  • Database connections and credentials

Is the above list fairly comprehensive? The BIAR file contains schedules as well if I can recall correctly, correct?

Is the Promotion Management Wizard a possibility here? Certainly something to consider.

Promotion Management doesn’t take into consideration Tomcat settings does it? I am simply looking for something to be comprehensive of the entire migration. Promotion Management will help move the content.

Tomcat settings? I doubt it, likely just what would be done in BIAR file step.
