Hello all, can anyone suggest a resolve to what I am about to portray. Our LDAP configuration is working fine, I see users , I see email addresses, I see user full name etc all imported from our Novel eDirectory, but what I do not see is the Description field populated when I view list of users or view single user. The only time I do see something is if I put it there myself when I edit an individual user. I would like this field to be populated from LDAP.
Here are the attribute mappings.
Object Class: objectclass
Static Group: groupofnames
Static Group Member: uniquemember
Dynamic Group:
Dynamic Group Filter:
Group Description: description
User Object Class: inetorperson
User Name: uid
User Full Name: sn
User Email: mail
User Description: Does not work
LDAP Default Search Attributes
Default Group Search Attribute: cn
Default User Search Attribute: uid
I know that no matter what I put for User Description it will not import anything , I even tried using “mail”, and the field still remained empty. If I cannot populate this field using LDAP attribute mappings then can I at least populate User Full Name with more than one mapping for example let’s say I want to place in User Full Name (Mr John Smith) (mr.smith@somewhere.co.uk), by adding a mapping like “sn + mail” can I do this?
