Please help test our new search!

We’re pleased to announce that as part of the 10-year anniversary of our community we’ve spent some time updating the most used feature with one of the most requested features: full text search. Yes, you can now search for exact phrases. claps This is probably the single most requested update, and we’ve been putting the finishing touches on it over at our “Beta BOB” site.

What can you do to help? Glad you asked. :slight_smile: You can go go over to Beta BOB (link below) and try out the new search as detailed here:

Searching is probably the most important aspect of our community, and we don’t want to roll it out without proper testing. Your moderator team has been working on testing this and other new features, and now it’s your turn. If you have time, please search. If you want to post bug reports, please use the topic linked above rather than this one. You may need to register on the Beta BOB site in order to post; your existing BOB login does not work on the Beta site.

Bumping this topic:

As of now, we have copied all of the Semantic Layer and all of the Webi XI forums over to Beta BOB. All of these posts are linked to the “BOB” account so we didn’t have to copy over the user information. The reason for doing this is to increase the volume of data on the beta site so we can get a more accurate impression of how the new search process is going to work with more data in place.

We would like to schedule a “load test” on Friday. If you can, please plan to spend ten to fifteen minutes this coming Friday morning between 10AM and 11AM central time on the beta site running keyword searches. You do not need to register on the beta site to do this.
