Hi all,
currently using Webi 2.51, and we are looking at migrating our UNIX Oracle repository to a Solaris box… approx 2K users, 7ish NT cluster boxes… pretty heavy traffic.
Any problems in this? Oracle (8x?) on a Solaris box supported, recommended, discouraged? Anyone have this set up for their repository?
Thanks in advance,
Brent

Yup. Should work fine if you have a decent Sun box - i.e. not an Ultra 2 but not necessarily an E3500.
A mid-level server class Sun box ought to do just fine. The repository database isn’t used nearly as much as the ones the universes connect to.
As for supported - you bet. Check the PAR on the support site if any questions.

Paul
