a short but crucial question for me: is it possible to access following BW or BO objects in order to retrieve data (not meta data) from them for DQ checks?

Well you can query the BW cube, run the Bex queries, extract the results etc.
You can run queries from both the tools used to build the universes. However I usually use the query outputs from Webi to validate the universes, compare against FHSQL results etc.
You can run the Webi queries, extract data and if good with Excel validate the report results by spread sheet manipulation.

Hi Mak,
maybe I wasn’t clear enough: I would like to use the BO Information Steward to perform these data quality checks (although I posted in the sub forum, I should have added that).
So is it possible to connect to BW cubes, queries and BO UNX and WebI reports from Information Steward?

well, we need to access the actual result data in a cube/query, not the meta data. And this is described anywhere.
