PDF instances in Repository

We are starting the path to upgrading to BI 4.2. In our BI 4.1 a couple of our business areas have hundreds of instances saved in PDF format. For legal reasons some of these need to be kept for the next 5-10 years. I hate to migrate them to the new system and I am leery about putting them in to a BIAR file and have it not readable due to a later upgrade.

Has anyone ever developed a script that could open PDF instances and print them out, or write them out to a share drive?

Or do you know of a 3rd party tool that could do this?

The real question is how to archive agnostic instances while having fun doing it! :wink:

And if you’d rather write your own code to do this, it’s not that difficult using either the .NET or the Java SDK.
