Password Reset

Hi,

I have installed BO EDGE Series XIR3 on my laptop.I forgot the password.
Any idea how can I reset the password ?

You can delete the administrator infoobject from the cms database. Here is one post that describes how to do it. You can find others by searching for forgot administrator password.

As always, make sure you have a backup inc ase something goes wrong.

but I dont know how to access that cms database ?

You will need to get the MySQL client tools that will allow you to query the database directly. You can get them from the MySQL web site. You will need the username and password for the BOBJ database you created when you installed BOBJ. If you don’t have that then I’m not sure how to proceed other than to re-install.
