Passing prompt Value from Query 1 to Query 2 in WEBI

Hi ,

How do I pass prompt value from one query to another query in the prompt. ?
Basically I need to fetch 2012 and 2011 data based on user enter date in the prompt.

Need suggestion, please

Result from another query will helps. If you have 2 queries in the report, bring an object in the query filter.

Click the arrow on the right of the query filter and select the type of filter you want to apply Result from another query, Result from another query (Any), Result from another query (All).

Gracelin,

Use the same prompt in both queries. You will only be prompted once for it when you refresh the report.

Hi,

To explain what Mark said more clearer, use the same prompt text like “Enter date:” in both the queries. You wont be asked twice to enter the date.

This feature is present from XI 3.1 SP2 onwards.
