pass variable from child to parent

I have a parent and a child swf published to Info View.Child swf shows up in the slideshow within the parent swf. Is there a way to pass a varaible from the child swf to the parent swf without re-launching/intializing the parent swf?

Hi,

I am able to pass variables from parent to the child swf via URls and flash variables…I am stuck at passing flash variables from the child to the parent swf without re-initializing/launching the parent.

Any tips or guidance would help.
