I am trying to get my reports set up so that the parameters can be chosen via the parameter panel in the InfoView webviewer. The included sample reports provide this functionality, but I cannot get my reports to show any parameters while the report is being viewed. The panel just comes up blank when viewing one of my reports. How is this functionality enabled?
I am using Crystal Reports XI to build reports and my Crystal Reports Server is 2008. The underlying Business Object Enterprise is Business Objects Enterprise XI R3.
Right click on the parameter in the field explorer and then select the parameter to be shown in the parameter panel. I don’t have the designer in front of me right now but I think the options are: Do not show, editable, read only.
Thank you for the response. However, I do not seem to have that option. I only get - Insert to report, New, Edit, Rename, Delete, Set Parameter Order, and Refresh.
I am using Crystal XI Developer Editon. Is there an update I need to apply maybe? I am worried that that functionality is limited to the 2008 version of the report designer.
Parameter panel is a Crystal Reports 2008 feature.
When you right click → Edit, under value options, the very first option is “Show on (viewer) Panel”. See attached.
