Upgrading my 3.0 to 3.1
I dbl clicked on setup.exe over an hour ago and it has now finally passed the “Installer is checking to see space…” message…
Is this typical?
Any thoughts on Fix Pack 1.2 - should I install that after the 3.1 install?

If that is the case then do complete uninstall of 3.0 with registry cleanup and then do a fresh install of 3.1
Cannot comment on the FP, but unless there is any known issue fixed in it its better to be at 3.1

The 3.1 update takes a VERY long time to run. Longer than the initial install of 3.0 in my experience.
It also chews up a lot of HDD space, with uninstall files etc.

The upgrade took over 4 hours…
How do I now upgrade the client tools on my local machine from 3.0 to 3.1?

You can download the XI 3.1 Client Tools Update, which is fairly small (600mb?), or use the full Enterprise 3.1 Update - Windows (big 1.6gb ish).
