OS Users and Groups Report

Hello,
Is there a way to create OS (UNIX/LINUX or Windows) users and user groups report in WebI or in WebI RC? If there is how do you do it? Does this require SDK?

One way is to get list of OS Users through AD or LDAP browser into a xls file.

Then get list of Business Objects CMC Users using SDK file availabile in BOB Download section.

BOXI UserList & Group Extraction

Here is a little excel file with a bit of VBA code to extract from a CMS the complete list of user and the list of groups each user is member of. Quite useful when you need to check group membership… It’s now possible to edit the CMS data, simply by modify entries in the Excel File. You need then to export your modification back to the CMS. Modifiables column are : Login, FullName, Email, Disabled and Description. Platform: BO XI R2 / BOXI3.1 (it’s necessary to change the libs to fits XI3.1, s…

Then use the above 2 xls files as data source for your WEBI report. I use this technique sometimes to get more details such as user’s region, manager etc available in LDAP for a BO user.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think pushing OS users/groups in to xls is my one option. I don’t need anything from BI CMC users and groups so I’m ok on that.
I’ll also ponder little more to see if there is any other option available other than xls.

Erik,
data sources will be in multiple places:

1. first report will be from local server users and groups
2. second report will be from LDAP users and groups --2nd report
