Oracle VPD and WEBI Bursting Integration

Greetings!

I was wondering if anyone out there is using Oracle VPD for their Database security requirments for BOBJ and if so how are you handing Bursting requirments. Are you somehow integrating the two, or are you Setting up profiles and doing all the bursting setup and configuration via BOBJ? This is a hot topic for us right now, so any help would be aprecitiated. Trying to setup standard approaches without a lot of rework. Seen a lot of posts on VPD but nothing with Bursting being handle with it… We have both Crystal Reports and WEBI so if one works better then the other for what we are looking for please let us know…

Hi Charlie,

AFAIK, this is usually done with profiles and publications. I’m not really sure how are you going to use VPD for this. VPD policies are usually based on Oracle login (defined in connection object).
