ORA-12154

Hi,

I am trying to install BO XIr3 in my local machine ,my database is oracle 10G

In installation process when i am trying to give the existing datbase credentials for connecting to the server i am geting ORA-12154 error
kindly give a solution for this

This is an Oracle database error, your best bet is to google ORA-12154. It’s probably to do with your TNS entry.

12154 is the could not resolve service name error.
You will need to add an entry for your database in your tnsnames.ora file. This is usually found in the oracle\network\admin folder.
