ORA-03106 selecting view of remote table across dblink.

Hello all, I have 2 universes that utilize an Oracle v8.1 connection that appear to work wonderfully UNLESS the object you are selecting is a view of a remote (v8) table. When selecting any of these views of remote tables, I get the following error: A DATABASE ERROR OCCURRED. THE DATABASE ERROR TEXT IS: ORA-03106: FATAL TWO-TASK COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL ERROR. (WIS 10901). The exact same query runs of the remote table runs correctly from the WEBI server via the SQLPlus application. Any ideas?? This is critical for us. Thanks in advance!!

Error WIS 10901 arises when you have some NULL prompts … going to Database.

Do you have any prompts in your query ? Can you create a simple report and test in WebI from the same DB links views or tables.

I have no prompts in my query. In my test report, the only thing I select is a single view and I get the error. The other funny thing is this exact same query worked in the old WebI 2.x version with no problems. I will say this universe has just been migrated from our old version of BO to the XI r3. Maybe this is the problem??
