OpenDocument doesn't work in 3.1

Hello guys.

I have a little problem with links in WebI R3.1
I have this link:

="<a href=http://pbod02:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sType=wid&amp;sDocName=[Semanal]+Panel+FFNN+Actual&amp;sReportName=No+Segmentado&amp;sWindow=Same&amp;sRefresh=N> Ir al Panel Actual </a>"

when I put this in my document of web intelligence, works perfectly!! :stuck_out_tongue:
but, when I closed my session, and try to copy & Paste this in a new IE’s window…

http://pbod02:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sType=wid&amp;sDocName=[Semanal]+Panel+FFNN+Actual&amp;sReportName=No+Segmentado&amp;sWindow=Same&amp;sRefresh=N

and after of type my user and pasword… ERROR!!!..

I think, probably, It’s happening due that I am not specifying the authentication type in that link… But i don´t know how to do that…:hb:

someone can help me??
Is this the reason of my error??
that not happening in WebI R2…

What is the error?

I am getting a similar error. The opendocument link (from an Excel doc)takes the user to the InfoView log in page. Usually you see

User Name:
Password:
Authentication:

But using opendoc in 3.1, I get a log in page where the Authentication is hidden (and defaulting to Enterprise). Our users log in using Windows AD authentication, so they get the error message:

Account Information Not Recognized: Enterprise authentication could not log you on. Please make sure your logon information is correct. (FWB 00008)
Enter your user information and click Log On.
(If you are unsure of your account information, contact your system administrator.)

Is there a way to unhide the Authentication box, or to set the default to Windows AD?

C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55\webapps\OpenDocument\WEB-INF\web.xml has the setting for authenticaion type/visibility.

But, how is the user getting access to the link outside of InfoView?

Thanks, I’ll make the change in Tomcat.

If you write a report in InfoView with an OpenDoc hyperlink and export it to Excel (I publish mine to SharePoint) the opendoc link still works and takes the user back to InfoView. It also works from Xcelsius and pdf.

Yes, I do understand the option to post static links to BOE repository objects on documents outside of the repository, but question the effectiveness unless single sign on is implemented.
