open BI workspace or webi report in swl loader

HI

Is it possbile to open a webi or BI workspace in swf loader. I know i can open a swf or a jpep in it … but my requirement is to open a webi or bi workspace… I tried but it is not working…

Has anyone tried or know ? or is there any other way to embed these into the dashboards

There are third party tools that offer that. Out of the box I don’t think you can plug a in webi report inside Flash based dashboard.

Why not analyse what the webi report is actually doing and duplicate that by another method in your dashboard?

HI

Since in Xcelsius we have some limitations on how much data we can pull… we were trying to see if we can pull a webi report in dashboard and display more data. It is just a thought… so we are looking any way to pull the report.

I’d actually call a webi report via opendoc in this situation - and pass the user selections across so they become parameters in the webi report. That way the user selects the data in xcelsius and webi loads in another window with the correct data selected. The users closes webi down and goes back to the dashboard.

If you think about it, you’re never going to be able to load potentially hundreds of thousands of rows of data inside a SWF file directly.
