OLE Word Document header not displaying in CR

When I insert an OLE MS Word document the header and footer from that 1 page document gets cut off.

if opened in word the template doc displays with no issue but displayed through crystal the top and bottom are cut off right at the header footer margins.

I have tried changing the crystal page setup to match the word doc and also to enlarge the space in portrait display but no luck.

ANY Ideas???

For me Word documents have been problematic in CR. If I can convert to a PDF, it behaves much better. Not much of a solution. :expressionless:

Converting it to PDF did fix the issue of the header and footer but when I print or export to PDF the letter is the size of a 1 inch by 1 inch icon rather than a full portrait page.

I used the Object size and position option to place it in the top left corner
X =0 Y = 0
and in inches I set the the object to Width 8.5 and Height = 11.

so why would it print so small?
I just want to print in portrait format

I do not recall ever having that issue. I do not have an answer.

I should also note that it displays perfectly in Crystal Preview.
only when sent to a printer or exported does the letter shrink to an icon size.

Anyone Else???
I need to finish this tomorrow

thanks for getting me this far Kevlray.

SOLUTION!!

not the best but a work around.

I had our marketing department send me the header & footer images and I saved those to the repository.
pulled those into the report and suppressed them on every other page(needed for this report)
I then recreated the letter manually in Crystal.

Exports and prints correctly

I have found there seems to sometimes be slight formatting variances between crystal, BO and PDF. The only way I have found to fix them is to do what you did. It is very frustrating :hb:
