ODBC Vs OLE DB

We are using BO 4.1 sp 4, with the all the connections using ODBC. I want to change the connections to use OLE DB. Can you tell me is there are history of errors related to changing to OLE DB. Do you have any suggestions. we encounter an error that cause the sql server to lock itself by creating multiples and repeating tasks on the server.

History of errors, I can’t comment.
However, you should be aware Microsoft are phasing out SQL Server OLEDB.
