Obsolete Adapter Instance after Migration to DS 4.1

Hi all,

we’ve done a Job Migration from DS 4.0 to new DS 4.1 environment.
Therefore we exported the Repository on DS 4.0 and used the “Data Services Repository Manager” to Upgrade to DS 4.1 (as proposed by SAP).

Afterwards i logged on to the Data Services Management Console and now i can see Below “Adapter Instance” the actual Job Server and (i guess from the Import) the Obsolete one from the other environment.

Does somebody know how we can get rid of the obsolete one?
Clicking on it brings the error "Job server :3500 is not accessible.

Thanks in advance!

Best Regards

the list of job server managing adapter is read from the repository table AL_MACHINE_INFO if the Job Server no longer exists then go to Server Manager on the job server machine and do resync this will get rid of invalid entries from the tables

if this doesn’t work, you can delete the invalid enteries from the AL_MACHINE_INFO table, don’t truncate the table, delete only invalid rows

Thanks manoj! 8)

This was the solution!

First point i try (resync all repositories) but it didn’t work.
The obsolete Job Server (in Data Services Management Console below Adapter Instances) came from the migrated repository with included Salesforce Adapter.

After i’ve deleted the entries directly from the table it looks fine now…

In my case we have 2 Access Servers running on each node of our DS environment.

Since couple of weeks ago i started seeing a new Adapter instance. No real time services are registered and when i select the Adapter instance i see “Cannot find SSL certificates for Job Server JS_DS_DEV.”.

First and foremost the jobserver its talking about does not exist in our curernt environmnet, its from the old 3.2 installation.

Looked at the AL_MACHINE_INFO table and that entry does not exist. How can i get rid of that adapter instance?
