What is the difference between compatible and incompatible objects?

Nisha, you need to ask more specific questions. The answers to the various questions you have asked to date would mostly be pages and pages long.

Yes it is an interview question.

I was trying to add a detail object and I got an error as Incompatible object.

What are the two objects you are using? I mean Dimension and details objects?

I didn’t get any object error because I was able to merge the dimensions.

Nisha, this is a forum where you can get help when you face any issue while working and not just a source to get the answers for the interview questions. MichaelWelter describes what an incompatible object is here. Please take some time to search B B to get more such topics.

As far as I was aware anyone can ask any BusObj related question - interview or not - it’s up to individuals whether they answer or not.

That looks more like a suggestion - still not a forum rule (and yes I’m being deliberately pedantic about it 8) ).

I’m not prepared to prep someone for an interview - but I have no problem if someone has been asked a question to which they didn’t have an answer.

Hi Jansi,

Well I was working with the merging dimensions feature and got stuck in it and got the incompatible objects error. So I searched for the difference between compatible and incompatible objects on the net and couldn’t understand the difference inspite of getting the answer on some interview forum. That’s why I agreed that it was also an interview question.

Someone else also pointed the same thing abt it as an interview question. It’s Ok when u get stuck somewhere, u want to fix it asap. No worries.
