We have had several reports setup and running successfully for a couple of months with scheduler on Infoview. But today, I am getting an error “Object reference not set to an instance of an object” for reports which were working fine, and new ones. I do not think we have changed any settings. The other strange thing, is that the Calendar dates are not showing correctly. I am now seeing the following text in the Start and End dates of the schedule options.
Please can you let me know any ideas of what might have changed.
Thanks
Further to earlier comment, I found this information but it is for Crystal reports rather than Business Objects Xi, so now I just need to find out what to change for XI…?
Has there been an answer to this question? We’ve been experiencing the same problem and I’m trying to find out if it’s some setting I’ve inadvertantly modified during our security set-up.
When scheduling a report with a prompt we were getting this error when we click on the prompt option within scheduler
“Object reference not set to an instance of an object”
We get this error when we attempting to schedule reports via our .Net entry point.
No error when we schedule reports via the Tomcat entry point.
It’s only on a few reports. So after some troubleshooting…

In .NET you must have a default value set for the prompt to prevent the error.
Why do I want to use .Net? CMS session cleanup is instant when a user logs out and actual time-out time is same as the time you set.
