In recently setting up DocAgent as a service on NT4, I ran into some difficulties. After some research by tech support and many failed attempts I was finally able to set it up successfully.
The instructions in the document agent server ask you to set it up like this:
- Copy srvDAS.exe to a new executable name .exe 2. From dos type INSTSRV c:\progra~1\busine~1<new name>.exe
The tricky part is that you MUST have the service name and the new named executable the same…if not, NT will return an error that will baffle you…
