Im running SAP Business Objects Data Services 4.2 SP6 and have a problem with the export function.
Im running Data Services on BODS server.
The service “Data Intergrator Service” is running with a Local system account. I have made sure that this user have all rights to the folder I am trying to export the code to.
I mark the projects I want to export and press the export tab. I can now choose witch object to export. I choose export to ATL and i try “to save” to a local folder. When I press ok after i have typed in the pass phrase, nothing happens. In the left bottom corner is says “Ready”
I know i should get the info box to show up saying export in progress, but that does not happen. Nothing happens exept for that the ok button disappears. And no code is exported.
I don’t know really. The server has been up and running for about 2 years. The jobs has been running like they should the whole time. I don’t think that the guys who created the jobs did have to export their code.
We are now moving servers, and that is why I need to export the code. I was just assigned the task, so I don’t know the history with the server/jobs etc…
Im running DS on the server. So, the software is the same.

The steps are like normal. I press “export” The code to export shows on the workbench. I choose “export to”, and have tried both XML and ATL. When I press OK, the windom with the “Ok” button dissapear, but nothing happens. It should say “export in progress”, but that does not happen. Im just back to the work bench with the code to export.
You could still be running the wrong version of the client. They are separate installs. Go into programs a feature to verify the versions of both.
This could also be a rights issue. Are you an administrator or a user. Look into the CMC and check who you’re a member of. You might be in a group that doesn’t have the rights to export.
If all else fails. Uninstall the client and reinstall.
Update:
I did not find any reasons for the export not to work, but I found a work around. Since the server is going to be shut down soon, i will not spend time on fixing the issue.
The work around was to use the export function in Management Console.
