Not able to promote Crystal reports

Hi All,

I am trying to promote my Crystal reports from PROD to TEST. This is a new engagement and they were doing everything in prod and no reports in test. So i am trying to make the process of promoting from test to prod. All i am doing is i am grabbing a few rpts at a time and trying to promote them. But i keep getting this error

Resolution Status=Copied, Dependency Status=Some of the required dependencies are not selected., Commit Status=Commit is successful., Promotion Status=Warning: Can't apply override; Override Information is Not Available

I have googled and googled but i cant seem to get past this. I am trying to update the over ride settings but i dont see anything in there when i go in over ride settings. No connections, nothing. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Priya

You mean moving them from Prod To Test?

If i am not wrong you must be using the Promotion Management within CMC? When you select the reports that you want to promote, There is a button which says Manage dependencies, did you check all the dependencies for those reports?

Hi Chetan, i am actually moving them from PROD to TEST so that i can sync my TEST Env with PROD. I am not selecting any dependancies because i do not wish to bring any schedules along with the reports. I do not see any connections in the dependencies though. Thank you.

Hi Priya,

I am stuck all most in the same situation. I moved my reports from PROD to QA, Reports got moved fine to QA but the connection is pointing to PROD. I did not select any connection during my promotion.I tried to change it manually but no luck. Please help

Can you update the connections for the reports manually one by one? If not then what is the issue?

Hi Priya,

I have more than 100 Crystal Reports, each report is connected to multiple tables and I have sub reports too in couple of reports, which are connected to multiple tables. As SAP suggested to use override settings in Promotion Management, which at a place overrides all the connections at one go. I tried to implement the same but no luck. Please suggest do you have any other options.
