Not able to install BO XI R3.1 SP2 (Server+Client)

Hi,

I have downloaded the BO XI R3.1 SP2 (Server+Client) setup and trying to install it on Windows server 2003. I am getting the attached error while installing it,
“The upgrade patch can not be installed by windows installer…”

The name of the file I have downloaded is “ENTERPRISE02_0-10007443.EXE”

Please help me to know what steps i need to take to get it installed…

Also…
I have installed the upgrade for the Error 1718. File FileName was rejected by digital signature policy.

Thanks for the reply… I wonder if you have any solution for this issue…I have did go through the link you provided but was not able to find any solution…I am still trying to resolve this issue would appriciate any help if you can provide me…

Are you getting this problem

While installing BOXI R3.1 SP2 on aplain machine (or)
While installing it on a machine where BOXI3.1 RTM is there

Hi Guys,

I think you need to apply the Windows Update KB925336. This deals with large MSI installs and prevents that error message.

Hi Guys

I have had the same issue while installing BOXI3.1 SP2. The reason was that the msi installation file is very big in size and hence Windows XP and some Windows Servers dont allow you to run this file but cancels the installation.

Are you getting the same. If yes you would need to edit the registry and change a registry entry which allows for example Windows XP to accept large msi installation files. Once you are done you would need to reset the entry back.

Do not have the file / link on this machine now, but I had googled it and found it. Look for the error message in google and you would find it.
