Not able to connect to CMC on the server

Hello Team,

I installed Business Objects on a new windows server and created the repository on SQL server 2016 which resides on another server.

Installation was successful and all the repository tables are created on the SQL Server repository.
Once the installation is successful i am not able to connect to CMC. Below is the error message i am getting.

33007 SAP BusinessObjects BI platform CMS: Unable to connect to the CMS system database “BusinessObjects42”. Reason: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user ‘DOMAIN\CVC-SACBO1$’.
35101 The root server reported an error Initialization Failure. (Reason: SAP BusinessObjects BI platform CMS: Unable to connect to the CMS system database “BusinessObjects42”. Reason: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user ‘DOMAIN\CVC-SACBO1$’.SAP BusinessObjects BI platform CMS: Unable to connect to the CMS system database “BusinessObjects42”. Reason: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user ‘DOMAIN\CVC-SACBO1$’. CDatabase::Open failure. ).

BusinessObjects42 is the Repository name
CVC-SACBO1 is the server name where the BO server is installed.
64bit ODBC connection authentication is windows NT authentication using the network login id.

I am not sure what i am missing on the SQL server repository that i need to give permissions so that i can connect to CMC from the BO server.

Thanks,
Raju

Hi Raju,

You need to get a DBA to fix the lack of DB permissions.

The message is saying that the user DOMAIN\CVC-SACBO1$ does not have access to the repository DB or you may not have the correct password set in the service.
