Not able to connect to BO 4.1 SP2 server

Hi,

We have recently upgraded the BO content from 3.1 to 4.1 SP2. I have both BO 3.1 & BO 4.1 SP2 client tools installed in my machine and when I am trying to connect to upgraded environment 4.1 using 4.1 client tools I am getting below error message. Can any one please help me on this.

Can we have both BO 3.1 & BO 4.1 SP2 client tools installed in single machine with out any issue??

[repo_proxy 13] SessionFacade::openSessionLogon with user info has failed(Access denied. You cannot log on to an older version of the CMS.(hr=#0x80070005).

Hi,

It looks that with the newer client tools (4.1) you are trying to log in to the BOBJ server where there is older BOBJ server (3.1) running.

You need to connect to the BO BI 4.1 server instead with the newer client tools.

I know for a fact that you cannot have the Rich Client installed for both these verisions on the same machine, I don’t know about the others.
