no data retrieved

I have had this problem for long time but still not resloved:
Periodically. some deski report get no data retreived when run on the infoview on client machine. when it runs on full client tool or infoview on the windows server it does get data.
any ideal is really really appreciated!!!

My first question is usually:

Does your local installation have more than one version of the middleware?

Hi Digpen,

are you talkeing about database connection? I just installed oracle client. or can you give me the step by step detail about how to check hom many middlewares are installed on my desktop?

You can try to look in your Registry entries, for the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > ORACLE and see how many Oracle Home directories are listed.
