Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard 64 bit
6.1.7600 N/A Build 7600
1 Processor(s) Installed. XEON E5345
Netezza ODBC Driver 32bit
XI 3.1 SP3 [12.3.0.601.BOE_Titan_SP_REL]
problem:
The netezza driver version 4.5.2 is a 32 bit driver, but appears under the 64 bit ODBC administration panel (c:\windows\system32\odbcad32.exe).
The driver isn’t seen by the 32 bit ODBC administration panel (c:\windows\sysWOW64\odbcad32.exe).
So, seems to be, that the 32 bit driver fakes to be a 64 bit one …
i created fron 64 panel an ODBC connection to my db server and it works.
from the 32 bit panel i cannot create a connection, because the driver netezza is not in the list.
From the designer (XI31 SP3 [12.3.0.601.BOE_Titan_SP_REL]) i try to create a netezza ODBC connection. i don’t see the 64 bit ODBC connection and give it typing in the name. when i go ahead, i got the following error:
The server is not responding SBO0001
DBD: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application
this problem i didn’t find in SAP support or in netezza support knowledge bases.
anyone has an idea, how i could force the netezza ODBC driver to be seen as 32 bit driver? [means, stopping to fake to be 64 bit …]
Our Netezza ODBC performance is attrocious compared to OLE DB. Since that isn’t supported by BO we’re trying JDBC. Crossing our fingers. Got Designer working. Crystal is still
I know its too late for the reply! for the people who are still looking for solution, I had similar error until today. I have managed to resolve by installing both 32 bit and 64 bit ODBC drivers. After this I have managed to see Netezza in 32 bit ODBC.
