HI All,
I am new to Xcelsius. Just need information what are the data sources we can connect through xcelsuis? how to conncet?
Can we connect MYSQL database through Xcelsuis?
Can we connect MS Access database?
Can we connect oracle databse?
Please let me know how to connect above sources. or you can provide me any documents.

Data sources supported in Xcelcius2008 Enteprise are
BusinessObjects universes via Query As a Web Service, SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports via SAP BusinessObjects Live Office, Microsoft Excel 2003/2007, XML compliant databases, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 2003, SOAP-based Web services, Adobe LiveCycle Data Services, Flash Variables

Yes, you can connect indirectly to all of those.
Various methods:
via a Bob universe & QAAWS/liveoffice
via flynet or similar
via aspx or similar scripts that directly query database and return xml
These have all been discussed in this forum at great length. Just search and/or buy an xcelsius manual. That’s the way I learned.

You can connect to any kind of data, however you either have to use a developed web service or model your database in a business objects universe.
Here is an example of calling a web service in Xcelsius. This is a simple example, you just need to access your database instead.

Hello Venkat,
Using Flynet Web service generator you can connect to all of the above databases provided you have the Oledb or ODBC drivers installed on the machine where the Web service is to be hosted.
