Navigation is slow in both InfoView and CMC from a client machine, especially when trying to open the History of a report. However, it is fast when logging into InfoView or CMC from the server machine. Do you know what could be the problem? And how to fix it? Any help is appreciated!

which browser are you using ? I noticed that firefox was faster than IE and Chrome (not supported…) faster more than firefox

Have you enabled caching?
Sure it does not account for the difference in page generation times re the browser location etc but it is there for these specific instances.

Problem solved. Our Windows server admin helped us change one of the network speed setting. The speed swtich was set to “auto” before. Navigation performance is 10 times faster after changing from “auto” to 100m or whatever your server network speed is.

Excellent - as to caching, it’s perfect for historical instances etc as the system stores the rendered documents ready for display as opposed to regenerating the html etc.

FYI - it seems like the navigation performance is impacted heavily by the local machine network speed. When we log into some machines (network speed 100m), navigation is as fast as XI R2, but when use other machines (network speed 10m), navigation is delayed for about 5-10 secronds.
