Hello All,
Based on some of our reporting requirements, i was wondering
-
If it’s possible to embed a webi report into another ( even through
some formulae or function using say iframes)
-
Is it possible for users to click on a hyperlink and move from 1
report tab to another ( one single report, multiple tabs).
I am aware of open-doc functionality. However i am afraid it doesn’t
help if it opens up the report in a new internet explorer window.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,
Using OpenDoc, you can change from one tab to another tab using hyperlinks in the same window. (check out more on OpenDoc)
But the users would be irritated by using this. When the user clicks on hyperlink… there will be a time gap to show the report again.
Its better to navigate tabs manually… unless you have many tabs.

Why don’t you use the inbuilt ‘Map’ feature?

Hi Jansi,
Are you referring to hyperlinking feature between reports that is available through HTML report panel?
Thanks

I talked about the default hyperlinks which are created at the left side. I don’t know whether you too think of the same.

Hi Jansi,
Thanks. I now got what you are referring to. Yes, the Map can be used to navigate in report panel.
However i am probably going to implement using opendoc, as we intend to give a hyperlink effect… Open one report, select hyperlink and a more granular data is displayed.
Thanks
