Please be patient, I’m just getting started so don’t know how to word what I’m asking, also I’m using Web Intelligence V4.1 (there doesn’t seem to be a forum for that so hope here is OK).
Anyway I have used variables to calculate year to date sales in a report by creating a variable which equals “2017” for the current year, a flag which checks whether the data’s year equals this variable (giving a result of 1 or 0), and then a variable which multiplies the sales value by the flag.
This all works fine, but then I have an unput control which allows the user to select a (single) period. I’m using the reportfilter function, and applying a right() function to get the year number actually selected from the resulting list. This always comes out with 2017 when I export the data, but my summary table no longer works compared with hard coding the variable to equal 2017; instead I get a multivalue error.
Any ideas why?
