in the bottom of your query panel (the where sql clause) you select your object item but choose the “between” operator. Then, you will have to create two prompts. That’s all simple

Yes you can have lots of prompts.
You can have a prompt on each result object,
You can have prompts for objects that do not appear as results and
You can have more than one prompt on an individual object such as when you use ‘between’
Hi, all.

Can i have a multiple prompt where i can leave blank one or more of the spaces for the possible selected values?

I am building a report on a universe and i’ m working on BO 5.1.7.

Thanx in advance.

If I understand your question correctly, wouldn’t a In List suffice?

In your query panel use the following:
In List

Thereby the user can select one or more values depending on their needs.

Maybe i wasn’ t clear enough.

Lets go again with an example.

I have a multiple prompt and i have to fill Time Period, Region, Customer Id. Can i leave blank the region prompt, for example, when i’ m refreshing the report?

Thanx for your time.

Hi,

no, this is not possible to leave any of the prompts blank. In that case the OK button in the prompt window is disabled since BO is waiting for filling in all prompts.

However, if leaving blank the region prompt means for you that all regions should be included in the report then create a prompt that contains ALL as the option. For such kind of prompt please do a search in BOB, suggested keywords can be “ALL in LOV prompt”. You get for example this:

I knew that it was not possible but i wasn’ t sure.

I wanted a second opinion…i am new in BO, you know…

Thanx for your time.
