Multiple Oracle Clients

We have a Data Services 3.2 installation using an Oracle 10g Client to access various databases.

Is it possible to install a second Oracle client on the server (e.g. 11 / 12) and have Data Services use that for select Data Stores? And if so, if you have a Data Store configured to use the Oracle 10 client, how do you reconfigure it to use the new client as a lot of the options are greyed out once it’s initially setup?

Thanks

You need to add a new configuration in your datastore. There you can select different middleware.

Different oracle clients can be installed on the server.

Is that in an obvious place in DI as when you attempt to edit a data store the sections regarding the RDBMS are greyed out once it’s originally setup?

You cannot change the middleware on an existing datastore configuration.
In the datastore configuration you can add a new configuration.
There you can select the new middleware and run the jobs with this datastore configuration.

Excellent!

That button was so unassuming I missed it several times.

Thanks - Will give it a go.
